Mt. Ama Dablam has been considered the prettiest mountain in the world located south of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse in the Khumbu region. Being the most stunning peak and one of the most impressive mountains in the world Mt. Ama Dablam is admired by thousands of trekkers and climbers every year. Best time considered to travel is post-monsoon season from October to January ,During this time the lower valleys have pleasant days with cold to very cold nights. The expedition to the summit of Amadablam peak presents every ultimate challenge imaginable: ice, rock, scrambling, breathtaking views, great approaches and a wonderfully located base camp in a meadow with a stream, we recommend climbers to have prior experience on rock and ice climbing especially above 6,000 m.
Ama Dablam is the third peak in the Himalayas as popularity in what the release of climbing premises means. The most popular ascension route is, by far, the Southwest Ridge. The route to the top of the mountain consists of 3 camps excluding the base camp. For this expedition, although there is not a peak of more than 8,000 meters, a liaison officer from the Nepalese Mountaineering Agency is required for any other expedition on Everest or other peaks over 8,000 meters. The base camp of the Ama Dablam Mountain is at an altitude of 4770 m, camp 1 at 5,800 m, camp 2 at 6,075 m and last, camp 3 at 6,400 m.The trekking trail to the base camp is one of the most amazing, being the same route on the Khumbu Glacier valley to Mount Everest. The panorama of Mount Everest or Lhotse is an indescribable one on the Ama Dablam peak, with most peaks over 8,000 meters high in the Himalayan Mountains and beyond.
In recent years many parties have successfully climbed the mountain, with nearly all ascents via the original south west ridge route. Our ascent will be made via the conventional south west ridge route, a technical route that requires 3500m of fixed ropes and three camps above base camp. The climbing on the route involves pure rock climbing on exquisite granite followed by mixed snow and rock climbing.
